Industrial grade activated clay
TOP-G series is a highly activated clay, mainly used in petroleum refining and waste mineral oil treatment and other fields; Taking advantage of its selective adsorption characteristics, when it is fully mixed with the oil, it is easier to adsorb impurities such as gum, asphaltene, residual solvent, etc. While the adsorption capacity of the oil is weak, so as to achieve the purpose of refining oil; Clay has a good adsorption effect on gum and asphaltene, and the greater the relative molecular mass of colloids and asphaltenes, the easier it is to be adsorbed. Organic oxides and sulfates are also easily adsorbed. In hydrocarbons, the adsorption order is: aromatic hydrocarbons> cycloalkanes> alkanes.

Application Areas:
1. Petroleum refining: it is used for the refining, decolorization, purification, petroleum cracking and other extraction treatment of petroleum, oil paraffin, wax oil, kerosene and other mineral oils, and can also be used for the refining of lubricating oil, petroleum jelly and other oils.
2. Waste mineral oil treatment: activated clay for mineral oil can be graded and decolorized, purified and treated waste engine oil, waste diesel, waste hydraulic oil and other waste mineral oil.
Key Features:
1. Remove the residual solvent and residual acid and alkali residue in the oil;
2. Remove abnormal gases and dyeing substances (gum, asphaltene) in oil;
3. Remove alkali nitrogen and saponification in oil;
4. Remove corrosive substances (active sulfur and other impurities) and moisture and impurities in the oil, and improve the color and stability of the oil.
Method of Application:
1. Add Amount: The amount of activated clay varies with different types of oil, and the amount of clay used when refining different oil products is shown in the following table:
Raw oil | The amount of activated clay/% | Raw oil | The amount of activated clay/% |
Mechanical oil | 2~4 | Turbine oil | 10~15 |
Internal combustion engine oil | 1~3 | Vacuum pump oil | 10~15 |
Transformer oil | 3~5 | Residual lubricating oil | 15~25 |
2. Method of Application:The clay and oil are mixed into a slurry in a certain proportion, heated to a certain temperature by a heating furnace. Maintained for a certain time, and then filtered out the refined oil.
